We are a fully-integrated team of architects, interior designers, contractors, and craftspeople that manages every detail of the process, all the way from the initial sketch to giving you the keys to your brand-new, finished space.
SPACE is best-known for our hospitality work, but we also design and build retail, commercial office, and residential. Our best clients are partners throughout the process, discerning people who want to do something outside of the norm and who appreciate fine details and quality craftsmanship.

We pause the architectural process early to develop a cost opinion so we know we’re on-target for your budget. At this point it’s easy to update the drawings, and it gives our construction team a chance to get to know you and your project through the design phase. We’ll make your space look good. Our team has been recognized for fine design by The American Institute of Architects St. Louis, the American Society of Interior Design, Landmarks Association, and a variety of shelter magazines.

Our teams work together from the very beginning of your project to ensure we capture your aesthetic and budget. We do not contract out architecture, interior design, or general contracting; we work side by side in our office in Richmond Heights.

We can provide single source deliver to make the process as stress-free as possible for you, including: architecture, interior design, custom fabrication, general contracting, furniture selection and procurement.

Collaboration from the project start allows us to confidently develop cost-effective solutions to even the most challenging projects.

We don’t price after we’ve done the whole design, putting you at risk. We create a cost opinion early on to make sure we’re on-track to meet your budget goals.

For final construction budgets, we receive bids from multiple subcontractors in each trade, so you can be assured you’re getting a fair price for quality work. You can see where every dollar you spend goes. If you have a favorite electrician or plumber, they can absolutely bid! They just need to carry worker’s comp insurance and liability insurance.

Repurpose, Reuse, Recycle. On every project, we work with you to determine what can be saved and reused. Can we re-use the existing HVAC? Yes! We’ll add the extra tonnage you need. Those beams? Beautiful, let’s work them in. You love Grandma’s vintage sofa? It’s important to you, so it’s important to us, too.

Already have a GC? That’s cool, too. As much as we love building, we’re happy to provide architecture and interior design services if you’re all set on the build side. Your builder will love our drawings as we make them very builder-friendly.
