DEMA Engineering is a family-owned engineering and manufacturing company that produces equipment for the institutional cleaning and fluid control markets. They needed some help rearranging space within the their large manufacturing facility to make a new training room and office, conferencing, and testing space for their large engineering department.
We worked closely with the DEMA team to carve out space from the manufacturing floor to ensure good circulation and paths for the remaining manufacturing. Engineering had specific needs for workspaces, collaboration areas, and testing, so we coordinated with them and the furniture supplier to create a space that works for the people who work in them. Outside of the conference room, we added a small lounge area and a kitchenette.

We relied on a timeless palette of neutrals with pops of walnut, and the carpet features a lighthearted pattern of tubes, a subtle reference to the products DEMA makes.
A Space to Gather
In the training room, DEMA leadership wanted a space that is flexible, cheerful, and reinforced the company’s brand. A large DEMA sign frames the hospitality area, designed for company-wide lunches, and affordable large-scale wall decor is plywood art from an Etsy vendor.
